How We Raise Wagyu Beef

We do not take our animals to a feedlot. At Weise Farms, we raise our wagyu beef from birth to harvest right here on our farm. Our cattle enjoy a natural life, roaming on pastures until it is time to finish them. They are loved and cared for every day.

Importantly, we never give our cattle hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. Our beef contains no additives or preservatives. It is not injected with water, nor does our ground beef have artificial colors or any pink slime.

Our animals are slow-grown. When it is time to finish them, we use an award-winning ration locally milled by Grimm Feed in Giddings, Texas. Their feed does not come in bags, ensuring it is fresh and high-quality.

Tallow is actually healthier than many seed oils, and is now emerging as a beneficial component in our diets.

Interestingly, our prime-fed wagyu beef is healthier for you than grass-fed options, including our own grass-fed. The chart below from Texas A&M University Animal Science showcases valuable information relevant to this topic.
