Summer on a Generational Farm: A Legacy of Weise Farms

Updated: 3 days ago

There’s something special about summer on a generational farm. The days are long, the cattle are thriving, and we are reminded daily of our gratitude. We carry a legacy that began in 1854. As the fifth generation, we feel blessed. Our children represent the sixth generation, and our grandchildren are the seventh. All of us live within 5 miles of our land in Serbin, Texas. While the equipment may have changed, our values haven’t.

Weise Farms is a Texas Generational Farm in the family since 1854.

Our Commitment to Quality Wagyu Beef

At the heart of our farm is our commitment to raising elite Wagyu beef genetics. We do this with care, integrity, and love. Whether you are new to the world of Wagyu or a repeat customer, we offer more than just superior beef. We aim to build relationships founded on trust.

Watching our Wagyu calves grow strong brings us joy. They thrive on the lush spring pastures of our generational farm. However, summer poses challenges. Drought-stricken pastures require us to feed them hay as the grasses parch in triple-digit temperatures. We work diligently on selective pairings to prepare for the next chapter of our breeding program.

Exciting Developments Ahead

Keep an eye out for what’s coming! We have exciting offerings on the horizon, featuring our brand-new elite Wagyu genetics. As breeding stock becomes available, we can’t wait to share these with you. The passion we have for our work drives us to innovate continuously.

It's rewarding when folks choose to support our small family farm. Purchasing delicious Wagyu beef through monthly subscriptions, single cuts, or by the half calf helps us sustain our way of life. Every handshake, every customer interaction, and every kind word reminds us why we do what we do.

The Importance of Community Support

Support from our community is vital. It motivates us to keep working hard and striving for excellence in everything we do. We appreciate everyone who chooses to include our Wagyu beef in their meals. This helps preserve our family's legacy for future generations.

As the market for Wagyu continues to grow, the demand for premium beef is increasing. We are proud to be at the forefront of this movement, delivering high-quality beef directly from our farm to your table. It’s a journey we are excited to be on, together with our loyal customers.

Now, you can bring that same quality and tradition to your table every month by joining The Meat Club — our monthly beef subscription. Enjoy premium Wagyu beef, raised with love and delivered with care. By joining, you also support our small family farm built on generations of grit and goodness.

A Family Tradition

In our family, farming is more than a job; it’s a way of life. The principles and values instilled in us by previous generations form the backbone of everything we do. We are dedicated to maintaining our traditional practices while adapting to new agricultural advancements. This approach allows us to provide you with top-notch products that meet modern quality standards.

Our children and grandchildren play actively on the farm. They learn about the cattle, the land, and the commitment required to keep this operation thriving. The connection between generations is strong, and we believe it is essential to pass down this knowledge. Each day on the farm teaches valuable lessons about hard work, dedication, and love for the land.

Connecting to Our Roots

Being rooted in our farm's history makes our work meaningful. Each season brings its challenges and rewards. Whether planting seeds in the spring or rounding up cattle in the summer, the cycle of farm life is a vital part of who we are.

Season by season, we witness the beauty and struggles of nature. This deep connection to our land fuels our passion and drives our ambition to continue the family legacy. As we cultivate our fields and care for our livestock, we do so with the utmost respect for the environment and sustainable practices.

Conclusion

Thank you for being part of our story. Your support allows us to continue our work and share our heritage with you. We are honored to provide you with high-quality Wagyu beef and look forward to many more summers together.

Until next time,

— Becky & Tim, and all of the Weise Family

OMG! That filet was amazing. Coarse salt and pepper crusted, wrapped in bacon, seared in a smoking hot cast iron skillet, flipped and  finished in a 500 degree oven. Killer!

We had a couple of friends over Saturday and I served them Weise Farms wagyu smoked beef ribs. They melted in your mouth!! The flavor was rich and creamy.
