Our boots are muddy from God's glorious rains. The tanks are full. Every animal has been prepped with enough feed to last the entire time we're gone — and we've spent two weeks testing it to make sure.

Weise Farms will be in good hands while Tim and I are away. Our daughter Whitney and her family will check on everything, gather eggs and pick the garden while we are gone.

But before we go, something beautiful that we want you to know about.

We just picked up beef from the processor, and he told us it's the prettiest beef he has cut in 20 years. That's not something he says lightly.

A half-calf of this beautiful Wagyu beef is all boxed up and ready for your freezer. But it has to happen today or tomorrow. Because after we get back from vacation, we'll add it to our own inventory.
